💬 Tips & Notes

Ahmedabad isn't a city you "tour." You move in for a few days and let it grow on you.
Best time to visit?
October to February is the sweet spot. Pleasant weather, festival season (Navratri, Uttarayan). Summers will cook you alive (45°C+). Monsoons are beautiful but humid.
Getting around?
Auto-rickshaws are everywhere. Use shared ones for the real experience. BRTS buses cover the main routes. If you're staying a while, rent a scooter. Best way to explore, no contest.
Pro tip for food?
The city is largely vegetarian, but incredible non-veg exists in pockets like Behrampura, Jamalpur, and Juhapura. Breakfast culture is massive here. Fafda-jalebi on Sunday morning is basically law.
What about nightlife?
Gujarat is a dry state. No alcohol served legally. But the city's "nightlife" is its night food markets, late-night chai stalls, and the Manek Chowk scene that runs past midnight. You won't miss the drinks.
